22nd - 28th april

this week i have finished off my ppd work as it is hand in date next week.  i feel really proud of my work for ppd this term i have put a lot of time and effort into this project.  i am really proud of the work i have produced and i feel like i know so much more about setting up a business and how i will afford things and budget for stock now, it has really helped.

I have finished two more pairs of trousers this week, i am really pleased with the progression of my collection. i have now finished my first outfit and have a pair of trousers for another i aim for next week to have a second outfit finished and feel like i will be able to work from home a few days as i have had my sewing machine fixed last week, this makes me feel alot happier with the deadlines.  i think i will focus on finishing off my wrl folder on an evening, i dont have that much to do for it, i just have the fashion show roles to fill in.

I am getting really excited for my wrl hand in and my collection to be finished, i cant believe how quickly this year has gone! it is very scary but i am excited, i have found out about exhibiting my collection at the great yorkshire show aswell so that will be really fun! i am, hoping exhibiting here i can get some flyers set up and be able to offer a discount code on them, this will mean i will get more followers, and more people from all over the country being able to look at my site.

15th - 21st april

I have really enjoyed being back at uni this week, i have made my first shirt, and finished my ppd folder.

i have discussed with dave what i need to do and i need to just organise my tasks and get a smaller business folder set up.  i am really pleased with my progress through ppd and my organisation i am hoping that this improvement will reflect in my grade.

My shirt is looking really cute i had to edit my collar as annabel wanted me to make my lace trim in the collar frilly instead of straight. it does look nicer now i have redone it and i am really glad that annabel was able to help me with attaching my collar and cuffs, i feel like it will be easier for me to get on with the res of my shirts, i think after my next one i will of got the hang of the techniques of shirt making.

I have sorted out my images for my PPD presentation this week.  i need to do my reflection essay but other than that my wrl and ppd folders are nearly done.

i have started getting nervous about doing my cad flats for my technical file, however most of my collection is the same so i should be able to get my flats done quite quickly once i get a basic shape.

Easter break

  Over easter i have focussed on literally getting all of my paper work done for PPD and WRL. i have also organised my paper work for my technical file.

  My PPd file i have been going through task by task and i have managed to get to task8, i am really pleased with my progress with ppd and the fact that this term i have managed to stay focussed and actually meet my personal goals of finishing work and organising myself and my time better.

  my wrl i have also organised my work and started looking at my role with in the fashion show. i am going to be incharge of the invited to press, media and schools.  I am looking forward to getting the flyers/tickets and venue sorted.

i have got large envelopes with all my technical patterns in, i will add to them as and when i am making the pieces

25th march- 31st march

I have chose my fabric this week, i have actually chose some cotton material that is used in bed spreads for my floral print shirt dresses and trousers, i have also chose a pastel cotton englaise for the individual shirt tops.  i have picked a lovely bright pink lace for an over dress and a pair of trousers.

i have been working on my ppd usp and i have decided on my slogan: exuberant fashion for the fresh and the sassy, this links with my brand     Frassy!

I have been working on my website on wix and i am really excited to launch it in june now. I fee like i have the look set up but i am nervous about adding products. i am nervous because it is quite difficult to add products and i would not want to put any wrong info on, i want it to be really professional and i am nervous of messing something up.

11th march-24th march

This week I have been looking at toiles for my collars and cuffs.  I have decided that I just want to use a cuff that will slide on and off the arm, something i find is that some shirts are too tight on the cuffs.  i have been looking at my WRL and have been really enjoying again looking at promotional material that i can use for my company and continue to use once i have left uni in june.

my ppd file is getting full, i have done lots of research for websites and business branding. i have really enjoyed this week looking and developing my USP.  

i have looked at many different logos and different usp lines, i feel as if i am getting close to a line to use as my brand slogan.

4th march- 10th march

this week i have finished off my blocks, i am really pleased with the toiles for my shirts and my trousers, i still need to do a toile for my lace trousers.
i am really excited about my collection and i am going to go and choose my material from Bombay stores next week.

I have started working on my PPD website. i have started looking at branding and i am loving the new direction i have started with comparing with my last years business cards and branding.  this years i think are more clean fresh, sassy.

25th Feb- 3rd March

I have continued to work on my research for my PPD.  I feel like i have got really excited about my company now, and i am loving working on this subject seen as i am hoping to actually set it up after unis finished.

  i am wanting to set up my company in June and think that i will need to do my surveys and look at costs soon to start figuring out how much money i will need to set it up.

  I have decided on a final collection, i really like it, it is romantic, flirty, and really spring summer.  it is feminine and has delicate florals mixed with lace trims and delicate cotton shirts.

11th-17th February

I have spent a lot of time this week in bed due to being poorly, i have been focussing all my time on getting written work finished off so that when I am back after half term with more of my work finished off.

i feel like i have not done the best in PPD over the years but i now feel like to try and get the best grade possible i need to put more effort in to my PPD work. I do struggle with it as i do find the subject all in all quite irrelevant to the degree and if not irrelevant just far too much work for a subject that is not as important as making and designing the clothes.

I am really looking forward to making my garments, and i am enjoying doing my toils, i am worried about making my toiles and not having enough time to embellish before the show.
